The Stalker Victim

By Reddit User rainmanak44:

Met up with a girl for the first time after talking for a few weeks. She is attractive, fun. Lots of things in common. During the date, she keeps checking her phone and acts annoyed by someone. Finally, she apologizes for it and tells me about some creepo stalker dude that won’t leave her alone. And I guess to prove it she calls him and kinda loudly says “stop contacting me or I will call the police!” FWD to end of the date, she says she had a good time and wants to do it again sometime, kinda flirty. Then outside before she gets in her car she goes in for a long passionate kiss. Then says “Call me” and winks! So I call a couple of days later. No answer. Text the next day, no answer. Call in 2 days and finally, she answered the phone and says kinda loudly “stop contacting me or I am calling the police!” I could just see her on a date playing the stalker victim again! Crazy!

The Murdered Cat

By Reddit User Sambulance13:

I went on my first OKC date the other day. I’ve been pretty hesitant about meeting internet strangers but then I found this guy’s profile. He was attractive and seemed like a fun guy with a good sense of humor. I messaged him and we seemed to hit it off pretty well. After a day or two of OKC chats, we exchanged numbers and started texting. I eventually found out that he was the brother of a close friend I had in high school. This made me feel a lot more comfortable about possibly meeting him in person. So we chatted for another week or so before we made plans to meet up.

We met at a little pizza shop that I had suggested. He was a baker at some fancy restaurant downtown so almost as soon as we sat down, he mentioned how he never eats out because his “palate” is too refined and nothing tastes good to him unless he makes it. Ok. That was a bit weird but I just played it off. So we order food and beer and start up a conversation. For the next hour or so, all he talked about was the process of making bread, the ingredients in bread, how most restaurants in town use bad ingredients (including the one we were at), and how his apprenticeship was so difficult and eventually he was kicked out because he surpasses his teacher…. in bread making. Throughout all of this, he barely asked me anything about myself.

Now, this was my first real date (basically ever) so I wasn’t too sure how to gauge this situation. I wasn’t exactly having a great time listening to all of his bread talks, but I thought that maybe he was just a bit nervous, and our text talk was always so fun. I had hopes that maybe this date could still be salvaged.

So at some point, I said something and he commented on how nice I was. Being the joker that I am, I said “I’m not that nice. I did kill an ant once. She was my mom’s favorite sister but…” (doesn’t work as well when it’s written down with the ant/aunt thing). Super cheesy I know, but I get really goofy when I’m nervous. He laughed, and then said that he had killed a cat once so he won in the “killing department”. I wasn’t too thrilled to hear a story about someone running over a cat in their car, but he told me anyway. It turns out though, that he didn’t kill it with his car. He proceeded to tell me how he strangled his English teacher’s cat and put it in his mailbox to find. And after that, he never had a problem with that teacher. I was horrified. I don’t understand how he thought that this was a good story to tell someone on a first date. Or ever for that matter. He asked if I wanted to grab a drink after dinner but I said I had to be somewhere, and got out of there. I think I just dodged the biggest bullet ever.

Abducted By Aliens

By Reddit User cltphotogal:

Had a great texting rapport with this guy, really enjoyed his wit. We met up and I knew after a short time that I wasn’t physically attracted to him. But I enjoyed talking to him so it wasn’t so bad. Until he proceeded to inform me that he has been periodically abducted by aliens throughout his life, ever since he was a child. I did not immediately hightail it out of the date as I have been fascinated by the whole topic of UFOs and alien abductions for years. He even showed me a place on his arm where he believes his abductors implanted some sort of tracking device. I guess it wasn’t necessarily a horror story, but I imagine for someone who isn’t as open-minded as I am, it could’ve been.

He admitted he did feel pretty stupid for revealing this on the first date and we never went out again. I feel kinda bad for him.

She Had a Husband

Rings-Creepy

By Reddit User wildman9160:

I matched with this “classy lady” one time. We started chatting back and forth, decided on a meeting place. I show up much to my surprise she was who she said she was. We are having a few Margaritas and things are going well. She’s a hottie. We end up going back to my house, she can’t keep her hands off of me. We do the nasty on the couch. She tells me that was amazing I really hope we can do that again….. “oh and btw I will contact you no need to contact me I don’t want my husband to find out.” What did you just say? Two weeks later she text me. Never heard from her again. Haven’t been on Tinder since.

He Was Arrested

By Reddit User Who Has Been Deleted:

Went on a date with a guy once and he said he had to “stop off at home” for his wallet. (He lived down the street from me.) I went inside with him and he ended up pulling me down onto his bed as a “joke” and trying to hook up with me. I got up and left and walked home.

Fast forward a year and I read in the local news that he was arrested for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman that he had been on a date with. He held her captive in his apartment and beat her and assaulted her. He could have faced life in prison, but only spent about 6 years in before he was released on parole.

The Shoe Thief

By Reddit User quintessentialE:

Great date and ended by walking on the beach. I took my shoes off and he offers to hold my shoes while I grab a couple of seashells. We walk back and I am washing my feet off and he walks over to his car I thought to grab a towel and he takes off with my shoes!

Moving In On the Second Date

By Reddit User curlyorstraight:

Went on what was meant to be a casual lunch date and ended up being driven around different open houses that were up for sale. We walked around inside the houses (yes, plural) and he’d pretend we’re an actual couple telling the realtors what sort of space I’d prefer and making jokes as if we were married.

This was date number 2. And the last time I saw him.
